Trader applications for new Darley Street Market now open
Thu, Jun 16, 2022
The success of our new market is intrinsically linked to the quality, vibrancy and skills of those independent traders and their retail offer so we want to select the best independent traders that can offer products and services to meet the needs of both existing and new customers and make it one of the best markets in the North of England.
If you think you are one of these traders then we want you to apply for a stall by completing our online application form.
To help you with your application you are advised to read the following accompanying documents. All documents are in Adobe Acrobat format:
Further information on the market to assist you in your application.
The monthly rental costs for each stall, including the indicative annual service charges.
Financial Support towards stall fitting out Costs
Details of the Council’s maximum grant for each stall as a contribution towards the traders’ stall fitting out works.

The scoring criteria the Council will use to select the successful traders.
The legal contract between the landlord and tenant setting out the trading terms and conditions and how the stall may be used.

Only applications submitted through the online application form will be accepted. The application form has been designed to allow you to save and return to the form at any time providing you have selected this option at the beginning. You will have a further opportunity to amend your answers before submitting your completed form.
A PDF version is included for information only and to allow you to prepare notes of your answers to the scored questions. You must not use this form to submit your application as it will be automatically rejected.
Demand is likely to be strong, however, we expect to announce the first successful applications in September.
Any applicant that may need assistance in completing their application should email firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can refer you to one of the Council’s Business Advisors. Furthermore, the Markets Manager will hold weekly trader surgeries should you prefer a face-to-face meeting. To book an appointment, please ring 01274 432175.
