An open market utilising traditional permanent pitches in the town centre. The market square provides a focal point to the town and the surrounding area, over different days this bustling market has a varied offering catering to all needs.

Visit on Mondays for a wide selection of items giving an eclectic flea market feel to the area, items range from bric and brac to antiques and second hand items.

Friday and Saturday traders provide visitors with the opportunity to stock up for the following week with fresh food stalls offering inspiration, a good range of produce and products for everyone, all served with a friendly smile.

Dave has been trading at Shipley Open Market for 30 years, offering fresh fruit and vegetables to the community ranging from the traditional apples and oranges through to mango and dragonfruit.

The team from Dave’s Five-A-Day love trading in Shipley, they say that seeing regulars and new customers every week while enjoying the comings and goings of the town makes them really feel like part of the community.

Next time you visit you can pick up all the ingredients for a winter warming soup. Dave’s favourite is a classic savoury and sweet butternut squash with red pepper. Super simple and perfect to keep in his flask when he’s working those chilly mornings on the stall.
