The Big Read comes to Darley Street Market

This October, BDAT primary and secondary schools are uniting for a celebration of reading, packed with themed activities that explore how reading can boost your wellbeing and spark your imagination. Students from BDAT schools met online and wanted to promote reading for wellbeing. Student Wellbeing Ambassadors suggested a special reading day where all BDAT schools take part at the same time. The Big Read is an idea made by students, for students! On Monday 6 October students from Immanuel and Belle Vue Girls' Academy will visit Darley Street Market for a fantastic opportunity to take spoken word poetry into the community and spread the word about the wellbeing benefits of reading. Come and hear from them on the pop-up stations on the Fresh Food Floor from 9:30am - 12noon.
