From quality woolens, cardigans, handbags to sewing machinist services, key cutting and shoe repairs, our handy non-essential traders have returned to their stalls.
Many stall holders have been keen to get back to their businesses as retail restrictions were lifted earlier this week. As traders and shoppers adapt to the new normal, Bradford Markets are committed to protecting the health and safety of all our market traders, shoppers and staff. So you will find that your next visit to one of our markets may be different but nevertheless the community atmosphere and warmth still remains in your local market.
We have implemented relevant hygiene and social distancing measures to protect all our visitors and traders. Hand sanitisation facilities are available for use across our markets and one way entrance and exit points to minimise social contact. Unfortunately due to social distancing guidelines, the toilets inside Kirkgate Market have been closed but the toilets inside the Oastler Centre remain open.
Please note that for the short-term the market opening times will remain as follows;
Keighley Market 08.30 – 3.00pm
Oastler Centre 09.00 – 4.00pm
Kirkgate Market 09.00 – 4.00pm
St James’s Wholesale Market 5.00am – 09.30am
Shipley Open Market – Monday, Friday and Saturday only from 09.00 – 4.00pm We will be regularly reviewing our procedures each week and should you have any comments or concerns in regards to the safety and social distancing measures in place inside our markets, then please email Bradford.markets@bradford.gov.uk.
