The Digital Media Academy commence the first phase of Bradford Market’s Social Campaign

Over the coming months, Anete Matvejeva, a recent graduate from the University of Bradford, will be working alongside the Markets Promotions Officer, Khansa Tufail, on our first project aiming to increase our presence on digital platforms. Anete specialises in digital design and has great knowledge of social media as a tool to raise awareness of our markets.

Head of the Working Academy Simon Couth said “Collaborating with Bradford Markets is a fabulous opportunity for some of our highly talented and digitally savvy students to create compelling social mediacontent that will tell some great stories about the people and products that make the markets tick. There’s a big group of people in the Bradford District who would really value the provenance, expertise and identity the Markets offer if we can reach them with reasons to visit”.

“    I’ve been working in Bradford for 6 years and only just visited my first market. I loved it and felt frustrated I’d not been more aware of some of the great things they have. I’m a ‘foodie’ so I was blown away by the range and quality of what was on offer. The conversations and expertise of the market traders makes a huge difference from the sterile experience of supermarket shopping.
