It is full steam ahead for Bradford Council’s regeneration of its markets, as it confirms the purchase of a key building as part of the redefining Darley Street.
The Council has now acquired the old Marks and Spencer unit, whilst the confirmation of the Compulsory Purchase Order demonstrates the support and strong momentum behind the project.
With approval from the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, it is another stage of success for the £21million scheme. Bradford Council will move into the next phase of the transformation, looking to create a bespoke new building on Darley Street that will boast an exciting sustainable market and new public square.
