Young Masters get Creative in the Wonderful World of Art

Published on

The Summer Arts & Crafts Fair in the Oastler Centre went down very well with local children with the help of the Young Masters Visual Art School. Gemma and Sharon from YM collected scrap from market traders for children to shape, paint, sell and play mini market traders in a mini stall! The stall resembled a mini creche and we look forward to hosting more childrens activities by Young Masters.

The market celebrated the work of local watercolour artist, Barry Langroyd Hanson whose work will continue to be exhibited in the Oastler. Barry makes regular appearances in the market and enjoys painting live in the stall, so feel free to drop in for a watercolour tips session if you pass by!

Local community artist based in Cartwright Hall, Musarat Raza was on hand with her popular Silk Painting Workshop for both adults and children. Musarat talked visitors through the process and watched the creative juices flow on silk with participants painting and drawing landscapes in Bradford.
