Keighley Market traders and staff raise money for Manorlands

Published on

Traders and staff at Keighley Market brought the spirit of Christmas to the centre of Keighley by raising £2170.00 for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.

Generous shoppers bought raffle tickets for the chance to win a six-in-one games table, with table football, push hockey, skittles, pool, draughts and table tennis.

There was a tombola stall with prizes donated by the traders, a lucky dip for children as well as face painting and a special guest appearance by Santa Claus.

The staff and traders created a Christmas display in one of the stalls, to bring a festive feel and light up the market hall.

All the money raised from the activities was donated to Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice to help them to provide care for people with life-limiting conditions, as well as supporting family, carers and close friends.

As an extra bonus the warm hearted winner of the table-football game, has decided to donate their prize to the children’s ward at Airedale Hospital.

Well done Team Keighley!
